august has been a whirlwind.  we camped/hiked in colorado, ate sushi in omaha before the PHOENIX concert (WOO x2!), attended the don't give up project, went fly fishing, got sun burnt, hiked at garden of the gods, visited my grandparents in colorado, completed a women's triathlon, had a stay-cation with our friends from seoul (including some yum korean food), flew to seattle to shoot athena &  jeremy's wedding, played domaine (thank you jeff & mary ellen), kept up on business emails, orders & shoots, explored tacoma & fremont (enjoyed delicious thai food), explored pikes market (had the best organic smoothie EVER), hiked several miles around mt. rainier, had brunch with lincoln friends & photographed the local roller derby!  we have SO much to blog.  stay tuned!  *the photo above is from my first roll of film taken on my sweet new diana (film & fisheye woo-woo!). 

athena and jeremy's backyard seattle wedding blew our minds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

last week we were a part of The Don't Give Up Project and to put it mildly... it was AMAZING-DOUBLE-RAINBOW-FANTASTICAL.  we packed up our car, headed west to the beautiful state of colorado.  we did a pre-camping trip on dillon lake (a blog about that coming later) and then headed over to a beautiful lodge with a picture perfect view of pike's peak.  we spent three days learning, growing, eating (the best vegetarian meals EVER), and being a part of something that changed us.  our cooks (and the models above) were the lovely jessi and dave.  this is a shoot we and nineteen other photographers did at sunrise.  we can't thank ashley and jeremy enough for putting this all together, inspiring us, changing our direction, and just being themselves.  

we searched high and low for the perfect album.  it took months.  luckily we found the one that fit us.  we also have the perfect combination: josh's mad design skills and our awesome album company.  we love the thick pages, complete customization options, yummy chocolate leather cover (and all of the fun cover options), and the list goes on.  we are in album love!
